Snowing!!

Well..Grandma Kimber didn't really believe Abby, but it snowed at our house this afternoon. Yes...snow in Texas. Who would have thought.
The story begins this afternoon around 2 p.m. when I was driving Abby home from preschool. Apparently they had been discussing snowmen and Frosty the Snowman. Abby said something like "Mom, when it's Christmastime and when it snows at our house we are going to make a snowman and it will be like Frosty!". I did my best to convince her that it was too warm at our house to snow. But we would call Grandma and have her take a picture of the snow at her house. And maybe Grandma could even make a snowman for us and take a picture of that too. Abby still tried to tell me that it would snow at our house on Christmas.

By the time we got home, I had pretty much convinced her that it wouldn't but Grandma would send us pictures.

About an hour after I put her down for a nap/quite time, Joeby called. She said it was snowing. I said "Where?" (Because of course it couldn't be here! I had just convinced Abby that it was too warm!) I looked out the window and sure enough it was snowing.

I tried to take a couple pictures, but I'm not sure how well they show the snow. (You can kind of see the snow gathered in the folds of our grill cover.)
I decided I'd better get Abby up. She was pretty excited and went out and played for a while. About the warmest jacket she had was a denim jacket.
I had no mittens. I found a scarf that Grandma made her a couple years ago.

She came to the door a couple times to tell me that her hands were "freezing!" Her nose was pretty red too! But she had fun!

And there was snow in Texas!

Well, your are free to have some of ours. We got 3 or 4 inches on Monday night. It has been super cold since. I am glad that Abby got to play in some though.

She is a cutie! Glad to see that you are getting snow down there! We got our first big snowstorm on Saturday. It was a little more than you guys got I think, about 6 inches. Isaac can't wait to learn to ski in it, and I can't wait to teach him! Happy Holidays!
